On June 10, Ho Chi Minh City Police are investigating and clarifying the fire at the factory of G.O Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Quarter 1, Binh Co Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. This is a company specializing in producing exported wooden furniture.
The fire occurred in two factories of 17,000 m2 (each factory has an area of 8,500 m2) used for interior wood processing. The main flammable materials are wood and paint.
The fire did not cause any casualties. Currently, functional agencies are coordinating with businesses to statistically determine the damage. Regarding the cause of the fire, professional units of Ho Chi Minh City Police are verifying and investigating to clarify.
According to records, the company where the fire occurred is tens of thousands of square meters wide, with more than 1,000 workers working here. The company has arranged for workers working in the two burned factories to temporarily take leave, waiting for notification. Workers in other factories that did not catch fire are still working normally.

Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that at about 10:20 pm on June 9, two factories of G.O Vietnam Co., Ltd. caught fire.
People in the company used vehicles to put out the fire but failed. The fire became stronger and stronger, spreading to the surrounding area.
Upon receiving the news, Ho Chi Minh City Police dispatched specialized vehicles and many officers and soldiers to the scene to extinguish the fire. By dawn today, the fire was extinguished. At the scene, part of the corrugated iron roof of two factories collapsed, inside many machines and raw materials were burned.
