Da Nang - A car suddenly caught fire fiercely at a gas station, 2 people trapped in the cabin died.

A serious fire just occurred on the afternoon of May 1 at a gas station in Da Nang City, a 5-seater car suddenly caught fire fiercely, killing 2 people inside the cabin on the spot.

At about 3:20 PM on May 1st, at Petrolimex gas station No. 90 (Thang Dien commune, Da Nang city), a 5-seater car was stopping to refuel when it suddenly encountered an accident. According to witnesses at the scene, the fire started from the rear of the car, then quickly spread and engulfed the entire cabin in just a few minutes.

At the time of the fire, there were 2 people inside the car. Discovering the incident, gas station staff and people around immediately mobilized on-site fire extinguishers to rescue. However, due to the intense hot weather combined with flammable materials on the car, the fire broke out too quickly, causing many difficulties for on-site rescue work.

After about 20 minutes of efforts to put out the fire, the fire was basically under control. However, when approaching inside the car, functional forces painfully confirmed that both people trapped in the cabin had died. The car was burned down, leaving only a deformed iron frame.

Immediately after receiving the news, Da Nang City Police forces were present to blockade the scene, coordinate with professional units to conduct an examination and investigate to clarify the cause of the incident.

The identities of the victims and the cause of this horrific fire are being urgently clarified by functional agencies.
