In the early morning of July 23, Ba Tang Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard) said that the unit had just coordinated with the A Doi Commune Police and local forces to control the house fire that occurred in Trum village.
Accordingly, at around 2:00 a.m. the same day, the stilt house of Mr. Ho Van K Roi (born in 1999) suddenly caught fire. At this time, Mr. Roi's wife, Ms. Ho Thi Thum (born in 1998) and 3 young children were sleeping in the house. Discovering the fire breaking out from the corner of the house, Ms. Thum quickly shouted and brought the children out safely.

Due to the strong southwest wind, along with the wooden stilt house, the fire quickly spread to the house next to Mr. Ho Van Thuong (born in 2000), Mr. Roi's younger brother.
After receiving the report, Ba Tang Border Guard Station mobilized forces and fire fighting equipment, combined with transporting water from the stream to the scene. However, due to the fire breaking out too quickly, the two houses were completely burned down, with estimated damage of about 220 million VND.
The initial cause was determined to be an electrical short circuit.
Immediately after the incident, the border guards supported each family with 50kg of rice and instant noodles and organized the cleaning of the scene, calculating a plan to rebuild the house as soon as possible.
Currently, local authorities are continuing to mobilize resources to help the two households soon stabilize their lives.
