New regulations on fire prevention for houses combined with production and business

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Article 21 of the Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue 2024 (effective from July 1, 2025) stipulates fire prevention for houses combined with production and business as follows:

1. Housing combined with production and business must ensure the following fire safety conditions:

a) Fire prevention and safety conditions as prescribed in Article 20 of this Law;

b) Having prohibition signs, signs, and directional signs according to regulations;

c) The production and trading area of goods at risk of fire or explosion must have solutions to separate or prevent fire from the residential area.

2. Housing combined with the production and trading of fire and explosion hazardous goods must ensure the following fire safety conditions:

a) Fire prevention and fighting safety conditions specified in Clause 1 of this Article;

b) No sleeping accommodation is arranged in the production and business area;

c) Having fire alarm devices, ventilation solutions, equipment to detect leaks of dangerous dangerous gases such as fire and explosion in accordance with the functions and characteristics of the house combined with the production and trading of dangerous goods such as fire and explosion;

d) The production and trading area of goods with fire and explosion risks must be prevented from fire by the escape route of the residential area.

Thus, from July 1, 2025, fire prevention for houses combined with production and business is regulated as above.
