The fire occurred on the evening of April 9, in the area of Quan Vinh fishing port. Although functional forces and fishermen made efforts to put out the fire, due to limited firefighting conditions and the fire broke out strongly, controlling it was difficult.
According to local people, at the time of the incident, there were many flammable objects on board, causing the fire to quickly spread, causing difficulties for firefighting.
Immediately after discovering the incident, fishermen in the area and functional forces urgently deployed fire fighting measures.
By about 9 pm on the same day, the fire was basically extinguished. The fire did not record any casualties, but the fishing boat and many assets on board were burned down.
Currently, functional forces are conducting verification and clarifying the cause of the incident.
