On the morning of June 30, information from the People's Committee of Quynh Phu commune, Nghe An province said that a fishing boat fire had just occurred in the area of Tan An village.
Immediately after receiving the news, military forces, police, border guards, militia, local authorities and a large number of people quickly arrived at the scene, coordinating to deploy firefighting operations.
Functional forces also proceeded to protect the scene, divert traffic around the area and deploy measures to limit damage caused by the fire.
According to the People's Committee of Quynh Phu commune, up to now, forces are still making efforts to control the fire. The cause of the incident as well as the extent of damage have not been officially informed by functional agencies.
Quynh Phu is a coastal commune in Nghe An province, established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of 4 communes including: Van Hai, Thuan Long, An Hoa and Phu Nghia in Quynh Luu district before. The commune has a natural area of 33.48km2, a population of about 72,062 people, distributed in 69 villages. With a coastal plain terrain, bordering the East Sea and associated with the two mouths of the Hau and Thai rivers, Quynh Phu has many favorable conditions for agricultural development, aquaculture, services and marine economy.
