As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at 6:30 p.m. on September 14, a major fire broke out in Dak Cam Ward at a scrap yard on Le Duc Tho Street, owned by Mr. Dang Tri Hung (53 years old), residing in Group 1, Dak Cam Ward.
Immediately after receiving the report, the authorities arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire. At around 9:20 p.m. the same day, the fire was basically under control and did not spread to the surrounding area.
According to the report of Dak Cam Ward Police, the initial damage of the fire was recorded including: 1 truck, 200 tons of plastic, 20 explosive machines, 1 press and household items.
Mr. Dang Tri Hung said that that that evening, the fire broke out, the couple had something to do so they went out, the youngest son was alone at home. When he discovered the fire, his son quickly ran outside to shout to the surrounding people. His factory has an area of about 2,000 m2.
"It is estimated that the fire caused about 3.5 billion VND in damage. Currently, my family is cleaning up, collecting scrap, and rebuilding the factory to continue doing business" - Mr. Dang Tri Hung said.
