Lang Son - The Provincial People's Council has just approved the policy of merging commune-level administrative units in the province.

On April 29, according to Lao Dong, the People's Council of Lang Son province issued Resolution No. 19/NQ-HDND on approving the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units of Lang Son province.

Before the arrangement, Lang Son province had 194 commune-level administrative units (including 5 wards, 14 towns, 175 communes).

After the arrangement, the province still has 65 commune-level administrative units (including 4 wards, 61 communes); a reduction of 129 commune-level administrative units (including: 01 ward, 14 towns, 114 communes); a reduction of 66.5% compared to the total number of commune-level administrative units.
