Quang Nam A serious fishing boat sinking occurred at sea at noon on March 21, killing 1 person and leaving 4 people missing.

On the afternoon of March 21, the leader of the People's Committee of Nui Thanh district confirmed that the fishing boat QNa-91679-TS, owned by Mr. Phan Van Thanh (born in 1971, residing in Tam Giang commune), had sunk at the coordinates 13°50'N - 110°09'E.

The information was reported when Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tien, owner of the QNa-91405-TS ship, received information of a rescue from the ship in distress that sank at around 11:30 am on the same day. Immediately afterwards, 3 Quang Nam fishing boats operating nearby approached the scene and rescued 11 fishermen, but 1 person died.

The victim was identified as Mr. Nguyen Luan (born in 1966, residing in Tam Quang commune). Currently, 4 fishermen are still missing and the rescue team is still actively searching in complicated weather conditions at sea.
