Through counting, the Traffic Police force determined that there were 33 people on the vehicle, while the vehicle was only allowed to carry 26 people.
Driver L.H.N. (born in 1982, residing in Da Nang) was driving a passenger transport business vehicle under a contract, running a route with a distance of over 300km and carrying more people than the permitted number of people of the vehicle.
For this act, the driver was recorded and fined 10.5 million VND according to the provisions of Clause 4, Article 20 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP dated December 26, 2024 of the Government.
For vehicle owners who are P.L. VT Service Cooperatives, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 shall make a record of the act of allowing employees to control vehicles to commit violations specified in Clause 4, Article 20 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP.
The vehicle owner was fined 42 million VND according to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 32 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP.
The total fine for drivers and vehicle owners is 52.5 million VND.
