On January 30, Chien Dan market (Da Nang City) was officially put into operation after a period of completion but has not been operating, which was previously reported by Lao Dong Newspaper as causing waste, while the old market next door is degraded and flooded.
Chien Dan market is invested and built synchronously, with a capacity of more than 250 business households, including the main market building, auxiliary market, food area, parking lot, along with a water supply - drainage system, lighting, fire prevention and fighting. Total investment is about 30 billion VND.

Putting the market into operation is expected to form a trade hub of the area, meeting daily buying and selling needs, creating more jobs and promoting the circulation of goods in a focused and methodical direction.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reflected the situation that the new market was completed but has not been opened, while the old market next door is degraded, often flooded, causing small traders to be upset and trading to encounter many difficulties.

According to previous reflections, Chien Dan market is part of the Chien Dan Market Quarter project approved in 2017. The market project alone has a scale of 2 floors, full of technical items, once held an inauguration ceremony but still prolonged the scene of "closed doors", causing waste of investment resources.
Meanwhile, the old market operates in deprived conditions, the market floor is muddy, the roof is temporary, posing a risk of food safety and hygiene, fire and explosion, and affecting urban aesthetics. Many small traders expressed their desire to move to the new market soon to have a spacious and clean place to trade.

When put into operation, Chien Dan market is expected to overcome spontaneous trading, gradually form a new commercial lifestyle, ensure environmental sanitation, food safety and urban order. This is also a condition for the locality to rearrange business operations in a stable and transparent direction, creating trust for consumers.
