On the morning of January 5th, Nha Trang Ward Police are investigating and clarifying the content of the clip reflecting a group of people threatening to beat a foreign tourist in the Nha Trang beach park area.
According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, the incident occurred in the Bluesea Beach bar area, No. 70 Tran Phu street, Nha Trang ward.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Quoc Viet - representative of Bluesea Beach bar - confirmed that the person appearing in the clip is a bar employee and threatened to beat a foreign tourist.
According to Mr. Viet, the incident happened in the evening, before the New Year. At that time, there were about 3-4 foreign tourists drunk passing by the bar area, not using the service.
The restaurant staff invited the group of tourists to leave the business area but did not receive cooperation. In the process of handling, the restaurant staff held a stick to threaten the group of tourists.
However, Mr. Quoc Viet affirmed that the staff only stopped at the level of threats, without actions of impacting or assaulting tourists.
Looking back at the incident, a representative of Bluesea Beach bar said that the employee's handling was inappropriate, lacking restraint and not up to standard in tourism service business operations.
The restaurant has reminded and rectified staff to avoid repeating similar situations.
