On the afternoon of May 23, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen directly led the working group to survey a number of important locations, in order to carefully prepare accommodation, accommodation and working offices for the team of cadres and civil servants after implementing the arrangement and merger of administrative units of the three provinces and cities.
Accordingly, the working group surveyed the Southwestern Guest House, Can Tho City Party Committee Guest House (Cai Rang District), Guest House No. 2 (Hai Ba Trung Street), Can Tho City People's Committee Guest House (Chau Van Liem Street), Ninh Kieu Cultural - Sports Center.

It is known that these are places with favorable locations, relatively complete facilities, and can be considered for small-scale treatment and included in the plan to serve the staff after the merger.
Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen emphasized that the arrangement of workplaces and living conditions for cadres after the merger needs to be carefully prepared, ensuring suitability to reality, economy and efficiency.
To concretize this goal, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City requested that functional units urgently review and evaluate each location in detail. Therefore, it is necessary to propose optimal use options to avoid spreading investment, causing waste of public resources.
In particular, for the Department of Construction, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested to specifically report to each project item that needs investment in repair and upgrading. This is to ensure the quality of the project and suit the living needs of cadres and civil servants after the merger.
Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen also directed the Department of Construction to closely coordinate with the Department of Finance to seek public investment capital, upgrade and repair in accordance with legal regulations.
In addition, the proposal and implementation of procedures for selecting construction units and management units after completion of construction must also be accelerated. The goal is to ensure implementation in a synchronous, rapid and urgent manner, bringing safety and peace of mind to cadres and civil servants.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee also noted that units need to pay special attention to security, safety, convenient living conditions, easy transportation and connectivity when choosing locations to serve the work of arranging the administrative apparatus.
