Kien Giang - With 5 violations in the field of land in Dien Tien mountain, the People's Committee of Duong Dong ward, Phu Quoc city proposed to impose a total fine of more than 1 billion VND.

On December 25, the Office of the People's Committee of Phu Quoc City (Kien Giang) said that the unit had just received a report from the People's Committee of Duong Dong Ward requesting the People's Committee of Kien Giang Province to issue a decision on administrative sanctions in the field of land against Mr. L.T.D (born in 1982) and Mr. T.V.L. (born in 1974) - both residing in Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, both Mr. D and Mr. L violated the land law at the land location in group 3B, quarter 1, Duong Dong ward, Phu Quoc city on Dien Tien mountain.

Violations include: Converting agricultural land (perennial land) with an area of ​​5,546.2m² that is not rice land or forestry land to non-agricultural land (not residential land) that is production and business land within the administrative boundaries of the ward without permission from a competent State agency. Deforming the terrain in the case of changing the slope of the land surface; leveling and raising the surface of agricultural production land with an area of ​​2,622.5m². Organizing construction works that are not in accordance with approved construction planning and urban planning with an area of ​​69.7m² for other construction works. Encroaching on land managed by State agencies with an area of ​​257.1m². Encroaching on protective forest land with an area of ​​501.2m² within the administrative boundaries of Duong Dong ward.

With the above 5 violations, Duong Dong Ward People's Committee proposed to fine Mr. L.T.D and Mr. T.V.L each 395 million VND and each case more than 183 million VND in illegal profits.

Duong Dong Ward People's Committee also proposed to take measures to restore the original status quo before the violation.

According to the People's Committee of Duong Dong Ward, Mr. L.T.D's land is about 3 hectares wide with 44 adjacent plots of land, of which Mr. L leased 42 plots to build a resort. This land was granted 300 square meters of urban residential land, the rest is land for perennial crops.

On December 24, the People's Committee of Duong Dong Ward drew up an administrative violation record against Mr. L.T.D, T.V.L and T.V.B - the land user, land lessee and investor - at the tourist area built without permission from the authorities on Dien Tien mountain.
