According to initial information, at around 9am on January 13, a 4-seat car was driving on Hoang Van Thu Street, Phu Nhuan District, from Tan Son Nhat Airport to Phu Nhuan intersection when it lost control and hit many motorbikes on the road.
According to the reporter's records, 6 motorbikes were hit. Then, the 4-seater car continued to hit a row of cars parked in front of a nearby apartment building.
The accident left many people injured and taken to the emergency room, many damaged vehicles lying scattered on the road.
Upon receiving the news, authorities arrived to reconstruct the scene and take measurements. Traffic through the area was slow. According to local residents, fortunately no one was seriously injured at first.
Traffic police and related forces were present to protect the scene, direct traffic and clarify the cause of the incident.
