On December 30, information from the People's Committee of Nghe An province said that the province has just held a regular meeting in December 2025 to assess the results of 2025 and deploy key tasks for 2026.
At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai assigned the Department of Education and Training to complete the recruitment of teachers in a public and transparent direction, "absolutely not allowing negativity to occur", and at the same time assign responsibility to the head if violations occur.
The meeting was connected online to 130 commune and ward bridge points. Provincial People's Committee leaders acknowledged the positive results in socio-economic development, national defense and security in 2025; and at the same time requested clarification of "bottleneck points" in disbursing public investment capital, budget revenue and operation of local authorities at two levels.
Regarding the tasks for 2026, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned departments and agencies to advise on completing targets, estimates and public investment plans before December 31, 2025; develop quarterly growth scenarios; establish working groups to urge progress. The province continues to implement 7 strategic resolutions of the Politburo and prepare for the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Councils at all levels.
The Provincial People's Committee requested to take care of social security during the Lunar New Year, stabilize the market, embellish the city, and ensure traffic safety. The Provincial Police deployed a peak period to handle violations during Tet and Spring Festival 2026; The Provincial Military Command organized a military handover ceremony in accordance with regulations.
In the context that the teacher recruitment period attracted great public attention, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai has repeatedly directed to tighten the recruitment process.
On December 9th, at a thematic meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the recruitment process must be absolutely objective and not allow any intervention to affect the results.
In the afternoon of December 11, at the 35th session of the Provincial People's Council, he continued to affirm that recruitment must be transparent; writing exams, no interviews, except in cases of attraction.
Implementing the direction, on December 11, 2025, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training issued Notice No. 04, adjusting the recruitment form from question-and-answer to written exam.
According to Plan No. 3456/KH-SGDDT dated November 14, 2025, Nghe An recruits 829 staff for kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools, including: 780 teacher quotas, 49 school staff quotas (accounting, clerical, library, equipment - experimentation, school health, teaching staff).
This is the first time that teacher recruitment work has been directly assigned to the Nghe An Department of Education and Training to organize. The adjustment of the exam process and tightening of supervision is assessed as showing the determination to rectify recruitment and prevent negativity from early and remote.
