Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee commends police forces for solving a major drug case

Dak Lak - The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has issued a decision to commend and sent a letter of commendation to the local police after cracking down on a major drug case.

On April 23, Dak Lak Provincial Police organized an award ceremony for collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the fight against drug crime.

Accordingly, the Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to commend and send a letter of commendation to officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police for their outstanding achievements in fighting and dismantling a large-scale illegal drug trafficking and trading ring.

According to the content of the letter of commendation, Dak Lak Provincial Police have established a special project to investigate and synchronously deploy professional measures to fight this drug line.

On April 20, the special project team caught Dang Luu Tran Phuong (residing in Can Tho city) red-handed, seizing 60 nylon bags containing a total of more than 12,000 tablets suspected to be synthetic drugs.

Expanding the investigation, the police force identified Nguyen The Cong, whose wife is Vo Thi Kim Thao (residing in Buon Ma Thuot ward), and also rented a room in Eco City urban area, Tan An ward.

On April 22, the Investigation Police Agency, Dak Lak Provincial Police issued a decision to urgently arrest and search Nguyen The Cong's residence. Through searching, functional forces seized about 19 kg of drugs of all kinds and an electric gun.

According to the assessment of functional agencies, this is the largest drug case ever discovered in Dak Lak province.
