"Dredging canals and ditches is an essential solution to proactively deal with drought and salinity.This work helps improve the irrigation system, ensure fresh water sources for crops, and minimize damage caused by salinity intrusion," said Mr. Son.
Proactively propagating to prevent and combat drought and salinity Mr. Nguyen Van Dang - Secretary of the Party Committee of Binh Hoa Phuoc commune, Long Ho district - said that since the beginning of the year, commune officials have proactively propagated to people about water reserve and implemented many solutions to prevent salinity intrusion.

Mr. Vo Trung Son - Vice Chairman of Long Ho District People's Committee - said that proactive prevention of saline intrusion in Long Ho district is very important, especially for communes in Cu Lao region, where there are nearly 4,000 hectares of durian, rambutan and many other fruit trees.
According to Mr. Son, the survey and installation of a solid sewer system is an important step in the work of preventing salinity intrusion.The District People's Committee directed the District Department of Agriculture and Environment to conduct surveys, inspections and have timely handling directions.
