On September 7, according to PV's research, the People's Committee of Cao Bang province recently issued Decision No. 38/2025/QD-UBND, detailing the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Provincial Inspectorate.
According to the decision, the Provincial Inspectorate is a specialized agency under the Provincial People's Committee, with legal status, its own seal and account; under the direct direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and professional guidance of the Government Inspectorate.
This agency takes on the role of advising and assisting the Provincial People's Committee in state management of inspection work, receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations, and preventing and combating corruption and negativity.
The decision focuses on three key areas. Regarding inspection, the Provincial Inspectorate will develop a plan, organize inspections of law compliance of agencies and units; handle violations and urge the implementation of inspection conclusions.
In receiving citizens and handling complaints and denunciations, the agency is responsible for guiding and inspecting the responsibilities of all levels, and directly handling cases under its authority.
For corruption prevention and control, the Provincial Inspectorate inspects the implementation of the law, coordinates with competent authorities, controls assets and income of cadres with positions and powers.
In addition, the agency also has the task of applying technology, building a database, training staff and expanding international cooperation.
Regarding organization, the leaders of the Provincial Inspectorate include the Chief Inspector, Deputy Chief Inspectors and 7 professional departments assigned to specific fields such as: inspection, handling complaints and denunciations; corruption prevention and control; inspection of socio-economic sectors; supervision, appraisal, post-inspection handling... with the Office.
Notably, the appointment of Chief Inspector is carried out by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee after receiving written opinions from the Government Inspector General, ensuring strictness in key personnel.
The issuance of the new Decision is expected to create a solid legal corridor, helping the Cao Bang Provincial Inspectorate better fulfill its role as an "ounce" of the government, contributing to maintaining discipline, administrative discipline, protecting the interests of the State, and the legitimate rights and interests of citizens.
