Nam Dinh ward is brilliant with flags and flowers before election day
Nam Dinh Ward, Ninh Binh province is not only the most populous ward in the province but also in the group of 10 wards with the largest population in the country. The ward was established on the basis of merging 8 former wards, with an area of nearly 20km2 and a population of about 188,000 people.
According to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, on streets and residential areas in the ward, the atmosphere of preparation for election day became bustling, decorated with colorful flags and flowers.
Ms. Vu Thi Thom (in Nam Dinh ward) shared: "These days, everywhere you go you see red flags and propaganda slogans about the election, so the atmosphere is very bustling. I myself have also arranged my work so that on election day I will participate in voting fully, selecting worthy delegates, representing the voice of the people.



It is known that the entire ward is divided into 8 electoral units, with 76 polling stations and about 140,000 voters participating. In Nam Dinh ward, there are currently 5 candidates for National Assembly deputies and 7 candidates for Provincial People's Council deputies.
Mr. Pham Xuan Thu - Vice Chairman of Nam Dinh Ward People's Committee said that because it is a ward with a large number of voters, the preparation work was deployed early and implemented very strictly. Election teams regularly review voter lists, inspect facilities, and promote propaganda to help people understand the time and location of voting.
Propaganda activities were promoted with 20 banners, 150 banners on main roads; the loudspeaker system maintained regular broadcasting; 100% of residential groups had propaganda on the Zalo community group.
In order to widely propagate the meaning of election day, Nam Dinh ward also coordinated with Ninh Binh Provincial Museum facility 2 to organize a mobile exhibition, displaying many images and historical documents. The exhibition content focuses on introducing the formation and development of the Party, important milestones through Party Congresses, and highlighting the role of President Ho Chi Minh in building democracy and organizing elections of the country.
More than 3.15 million voters ready to vote
In Thanh Nam ward, the preparation steps were carried out methodically and in accordance with regulations, from reviewing voter lists, arranging voting areas to ensuring conditions to serve the election day.

Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Nam ward - informed that the entire ward has 7 electoral units with over 21,900 voters. The work of reviewing, compiling and listing voter lists and preparing facilities at polling areas has been deployed synchronously, ensuring compliance with regulations.
And in Xuan Hung commune - where there are many Catholic compatriots in Ninh Binh - it is also ready for the all-people festival.
Mr. Do Quoc Hoi - Head of the Culture - Society Department of Xuan Hung commune - said that the commune has more than 53,000 people, of which about 30% are Catholics and 18% are Buddhists.
With the above characteristics, right from the formation of the new commune, commune leaders have contacted priests, dignitaries, and officials to better understand information about the activities of the local government at two levels, thereby receiving attention and support. Commune leaders all participate in events of the parish and parishes to increase cohesion.
According to preliminary statistics, Ninh Binh province has more than 3.15 million voters. Voter lists have been publicly posted at the People's Committee headquarters and polling stations in accordance with the law. Up to now, polling areas in the province have basically completed the preparation of facilities, fully arranged ballot boxes, documents and necessary conditions, ensuring convenience for voters to participate in voting.
