According to the commander of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 - Hanoi Traffic Police Department, after more than 1 month of adjusting traffic organization on Nguyen Ngoc Vu Street, from Cong Moc Bridge to Lane 53 Nguyen Ngoc Vu (Cau Giay District), the traffic situation has changed positively.
However, there are still cases of motorbikes driving in the wrong direction, causing conflicts in traffic flow and potentially causing traffic congestion.
Faced with the above situation, in recent days, Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 has deployed a working group in the area, increased inspection, and strictly handled violations.


On May 21 alone, at least 5 cases of motorcyclists violating were fined. Including cases of temporary detention of vehicles due to failure to present a driver's license.
According to Decree 168, for motorbikes, the act of going in the wrong direction on a one-way street, going in the wrong direction on a road with a "No going in the wrong direction" sign will be fined from 4 - 6 million VND, deducting 2 driving license points.
For the act of going in the wrong direction on a one-way street, going in the wrong direction on a road with a "No going in the wrong direction" sign causing a traffic accident, the driver will be fined from 10 - 14 million VND and have 10 points deducted from the driver's license.


Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Chien - Captain of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 said that in the coming time, the unit will continue to arrange forces to guide and direct traffic, and at the same time coordinate with relevant forces and functional units to assess and adjust shortcomings in traffic organization in the area.
The Hanoi Traffic Police Department recommends that people when participating in traffic must absolutely comply with the road signaling system and the regulation of the authorities.
Cases of intentional violations, going in the wrong direction, riding a motorbike on the sidewalk... will be inspected and strictly handled in accordance with the provisions of law.
