Updated from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 7:00 a.m. on November 6, the center of storm No. 13 was at about 13.2 degrees north latitude; 112.3 degrees east longitude, about 330km east-southeast of Quy Nhon (Gia Lai). The strongest wind near the storm center is level 14 (150-166 km/h), gusting to level 17. The storm is moving very quickly in a west-northwest direction at a speed of about 30 km/h.
Storm No. 13 maintains its speed very quickly
It is forecasted that in the next 12 hours, the storm will move west-northwest and continue to maintain a very fast speed of about 25-30km/h.
At 7:00 p.m. on November 6, the center of the storm was at about 14 degrees north latitude; 109.4 degrees east longitude, in the coastal area from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak. Strong winds of level 13-14, gusting to level 17.
The danger zone is located between latitudes 11.5-16 degrees north and 114.5 degrees east of the longitude. The natural disaster risk level is level 4 for the western area between the East Sea and the sea area from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak (including Ly Son special zone), the eastern mainland of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai; level 3 for the sea area from South Quang Tri to Da Nang (including Cu Lao Cham island) and Khanh Hoa; the mainland from South Quang Tri to Da Nang, east of Dak Lak and north of Khanh Hoa.
Around tonight, storm No. 13 is forecast to make landfall in the Central region.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the storm will move west-northwest at a speed of 25km/h, making landfall and gradually weakening into a tropical depression.
At 7:00 a.m. on November 7, the center of the tropical depression in the Southern Laos area was at level 7, gusting to level 9.
The danger zone is between latitudes 12.5-16 degrees north and west of 111 degrees east. Level 4 natural disaster risk in the sea area from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak (including Ly Son special zone), the eastern mainland from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai; level 3 for the sea area from South Quang Tri to Da Nang (including Cu Lao Cham island) and Khanh Hoa; the mainland from South Quang Tri to Da Nang, the west of Quang Ngai and Gia Lai, the east of Dak Lak and the north of Khanh Hoa.
It is forecasted that in the next 36 hours, the tropical depression will move to the eastern area of Thailand and weaken into a low pressure area, with winds below level 6.
The eastern part of Quang Ngai-Gia Lai near the center of the storm may have gusts of level 15
On land, from the afternoon of November 6, from southern Da Nang to Dak Lak, the wind will gradually increase to level 6-7, then increase to level 8-9, near the storm center level 10-12, gust level 14-15. The focus is on the east of Quang Ngai-Gia Lai provinces.
The area from southern Quang Tri to northern Da Nang and northern Khanh Hoa will have strong winds of level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9. The strongest wind will be from the evening to the night of November 6.
From the evening and night of November 6, the western provinces from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai will have strong winds of level 6-7, near the storm center level 8-9, gusting to level 11.
Regarding heavy rain, from November 6-7, the area from Da Nang to Dak Lak will have very heavy rain of 200-400mm/ods, some places over 600mm/ods; from the south of Quang Tri to Hue, Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong, rain of 150-300mm/ods, some places over 450mm/ods. From November 8, heavy rain tends to decrease.
From November 7-8, the northern area of Quang Tri to Thanh Hoa will have rain of 50-150mm/ods, some places over 200mm/ods. Warning of the risk of heavy rain (rainfall greater than 200mm/3 hours). It is necessary to be on guard against thunderstorms, whirlwinds and strong gusts of wind both before and during the storm's landfall.
At sea, the central East Sea area has strong winds of level 8-11, near the center of the storm level 12-14, gusts of level 17; waves 5-7m high, near the center of the storm 8-10m, the sea is very rough.
The sea area from southern Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa (including Ly Son special area, Cu Lao Cham island) will have winds gradually increasing to level 6-7, then increasing to level 8-11, near the storm center level 12-14, gusts of level 17; waves 3-6m high, near the storm center 7-9m, the sea will be very rough.
The coastal area from Hue to Dak Lak will have water level rise due to storm 0.4-0.8m, risk of flooding low-lying areas, waves overflowing banks, coastal erosion, affecting aquaculture areas and boat activities.
