Police investigate major explosion causing house collapse in Dak Lak

Dak Lak - Police are investigating and clarifying the cause of the large explosion that collapsed a level 4 house, seriously injuring one person.

On January 16, the People's Committee of Ea Wer commune, Dak Lak province informed that an explosion occurred in the area, causing the collapse of a part of a level 4 house, suspected to be related to the making of firecrackers. Currently, the police agency is investigating and clarifying the cause.

According to initial information, at about 11:30 am on the same day, at the house of Mr. T.V.T (56 years old, residing in hamlet 15, Ea Wer commune), an explosion occurred, collapsing part of a level 4 house.

The explosion injured Mr. V.D.A (34 years old, residing in Ho Chi Minh City) and had to be hospitalized for emergency treatment. Through initial verification, functional forces determined that the cause of the incident may be related to the making of firecrackers.
