At around 8:00 a.m. on July 7, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center received a report from local residents about someone jumping from Vinh Tuy Bridge into the Red River. Immediately, the Center mobilized the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team (PCCC&CNCH) on the river, under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, deployed a canoe, rescue boat and officers and soldiers to quickly arrived at the scene, approached and brought the victim safely to shore.
The authorities then conducted initial first aid, coordinated with Hong Ha Ward Police to get the victim onto an ambulance and transferred him to 108 Central Military Hospital for emergency treatment.
Initial information said that the victim was N.T.M.T. (born in 2003, from Giao Thuy, Ninh Binh province), currently a 3rd year student at an academy in Hanoi. Thanks to timely rescue forces, the victim's health is now stable and there is no danger to his life.
