At 1:00 a.m. on May 12, the Fire Prevention and Fighting & Rescue Police of Binh Thuan Province deployed a search for a missing person in the Ca Ty River in Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province.
The missing person is Mr. L.V.S (born in 2001). The authorities used canoes to run along both sides of the river to search. Another group searched in the middle of the river.
Because it was dark, the search encountered many difficulties because they had to use flashlights to light up to find them underwater. At the scene, Mr. S's girlfriend said that the two had an argument in the rented room. After that, Mr. S rode his motorbike to Ca Ty bridge and jumped down and his girlfriend couldn't hold back.
Some local divers have also come to support the search for missing people, but due to the characteristics of the bridge's foot having a lot of mud and strong currents, the search has not had results. At around 3:30 a.m. the same day, the forces left the scene.
On the morning of May 12, the family was still at the scene and were searching for a professional diver to dive to find the missing young man. Some local divers arrived at the scene but due to rising water, they could not go down to participate in the diving.
