At about 4 am on March 16, a fire occurred at an apartment on the 9th floor, building E4, Ecohome 1 apartment building (Dong Ngac ward, Hanoi).
According to information from Hanoi City Police, immediately upon receiving the fire report, the City Police Command Information Center quickly dispatched 2 fire trucks, 1 command vehicle and 16 officers and soldiers of the Fire and Rescue Team of Area No. 17 - Fire and Rescue Police Department (Hanoi City Police) to the scene to organize firefighting and rescue.
Only about 12 minutes after receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police force approached the scene. The fire was identified to have occurred in an apartment located on the 9th floor, building E4, Ecohome 1 apartment building.
Functional forces said that at the time of the fire, smoke and toxic gas from the apartment spread to the corridor, affecting the surrounding area and potentially threatening the safety of many households in the building.
Through reconnaissance, functional forces determined that there were 3 people trapped inside the apartment. Immediately, officers and soldiers deployed synchronous approach plans, organized rescue, and brought the victims out safely.
At the same time, functional forces guided about 20 people in nearby apartments to move through escape routes to a safe area. The victims were then given initial first aid and taken to medical facilities for health monitoring.


After a period of firefighting and rescue efforts, at about 4:30 am on the same day, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished, preventing it from spreading to surrounding apartments. Functional forces continued to organize smoke escape, cooling and scene examination.
Initial information shows that the apartment where the fire occurred has an area of about 56m2. Currently, the cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
