Previously, on the morning of September 2, a clip circulated on social networks recording the scene of a man using a stick to affect an Alaskan dog in Lam Vien Square.

According to the information posted in the clip, the dog was affected by not "cooperating" when taking pictures with tourists. The image quickly attracted attention, many people expressed outrage and requested functional agencies to verify.

Through working, Xuan Huong Ward Police - Da Lat identified the related person as Mr. T.V. L (38 years old, residing in Ho Chi Minh City). Mr. L said that the Alaska dog in the clip is his pet.

According to his testimony, because he was annoyed that the dog did not follow the order, Mr. L used a stick to hit the dog. This behavior was later recorded by people and posted on social networks.

Working with the police agency, Mr. L realized that his actions were wrong, offensive and affected the image of civilized and friendly tourism in Da Lat.

Xuan Huong Ward Police - Da Lat are continuing to consolidate the file and clarify relevant details for handling according to regulations.

Xuan Huong Ward Police - Da Lat recommends tourists not to take photos, not to rent and not to assist in the use of animals for business in the Lam Vien Square area.

This is to contribute to ending the situation of using animals for business, towards building Lam Vien Square into a civilized, friendly and safe destination.

Notably, previously at the end of August 2024, at Lam Vien Square, there was also an incident where some dogs were affected to serve photography activities with tourists.

At that time, the functional agencies of the old Da Lat City verified, handled and requested to stop the use of dogs for business and photography in the square.
