As of 9:00 a.m. on December 6, the functional forces of Hiep Binh ward were still coordinating with the professional units of Ho Chi Minh City Police to block off and examine the scene to investigate the cause of the fire at a charity house in Hiep Binh ward.

The incident occurred at around 7:00 a.m. the same day, when smoke and fire suddenly flared up fiercely on the first floor of a house in alley 72, street No. 4, Hiep Binh ward (formerly Thu Duc city).
Discovering the fire, people nearby used mini fire extinguishers and water to put out the fire but failed.
Upon receiving the report, local authorities and professional fire fighting forces under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07) of Ho Chi Minh City Police (area 2) quickly dispatched many fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.

The fire was then completely extinguished. However, through inspection, the authorities discovered a man named T.C.T. (47 years old) died at home.
According to people who witnessed the fire, when the smoke and fire broke out, an explosion occurred in the house. As a result, part of the brick wall behind the house broke, creating a large hole.

Currently, the cause of the fire and explosion is still being investigated and clarified by Ho Chi Minh City Police.
