Police find the identity of the man who died drifting in Nha Trang Bay

Khanh Hoa - On the morning of May 2nd, Nha Trang Ward Police identified the identity of the man who died, the body drifted on Nha Trang Bay in the afternoon of May 1st.

According to Nha Trang Ward Police, after a process of urgently searching for the victim's whereabouts, it was identified as Mr. Tran Van Q (born in 1969, permanently residing on Au Co street, Nha Trang ward, Khanh Hoa province).

Currently, functional forces are completing the necessary procedures to hand over the body to the family for funeral arrangements.

According to initial information, through verification, functional agencies determined that the cause of death of the victim was drowning.

Previously, at about 1:45 PM on May 1st, while on duty in the beach area in front of Bon Mua coffee shop (Tran Phu street, Nha Trang ward), beach rescue forces discovered a male body floating in the sea, about 70m from a safe buoy.

Immediately after that, rescue forces quickly approached, brought the body ashore and reported it to local authorities.

Through initial identification, the victim was male, wearing black pants and a white t-shirt. In the victim's pants pocket, there was a pack of cigarettes.

The body was then handed over to the police agency for autopsy, determining the cause of death, and at the same time searching for the victim's identity.
