On July 2, information from the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, after merging Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces, the locality announced the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on the establishment of specialized agencies and the decision to appoint department leaders.
Accordingly, the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Health officially came into operation, established on the basis of merging the Quang Binh Provincial Department of Health (old) and the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Health (old). This is a specialized agency under the Provincial People's Committee, performing the function of advising and assisting the Provincial People's Committee in state management of the health sector, and is also subject to the direction, guidance, inspection and examination of professional expertise of the Ministry of Health.
Ms. Diep Thi Minh Quyet - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, former President of the Women's Union of Quang Binh Province, was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Health of Quang Tri Province.
Previously, Ms. Quyet held the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Health of Quang Binh province, then was transferred to hold the position of President of the Women's Union of Quang Binh province for the 2016-2021 term and continued to be elected to this position for the 2021-2026 term.
Along with the decision to appoint the Director, the Provincial People's Committee announced a list of 8 Deputy Directors of the new Quang Tri Provincial Department of Health, including: Mr. Do Van Hung, former Director of the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Health (old); Mr. Dinh Vien Anh, Deputy Director of the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Health (old); Mr. Ha Lam Chi, Deputy Director of the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Health (old); Mr. Ho Tan Canh, Deputy Director of the Quang Binh Provincial Department of Health (old); Mr. Le Thanh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Quang Binh Provincial Department of Health (old); Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dung, Deputy Director of the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Health (old); Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Health (old); Mr. Van Thuc, Deputy Director of the Quang Binh Provincial Department of Health (old).
The improvement of leadership personnel is an important step to ensure stable organization and maintenance of health sector activities to serve the people of the two provinces after the merger. The new Quang Tri Department of Health has legal status, its own seal and account to perform management and operation tasks according to current legal regulations.
