On May 30, Mang Den Commune People's Committee said that it had issued a decision to sanction administrative violations in the field of forestry against Kon Tu Rang village community, Mang Den commune.
According to the decision, the representative of the community is Mr. A Ben, born in 1984, Head of Kon Tu Rang village.
Kon Tu Rang village community was determined to have not fully implemented forest management, protection, development and use activities according to forest management regulations, leading to illegal deforestation with an area of 1,911m2 in sub-zone 477 belonging to the forest area managed by the community.
The affected forest area belongs to the restored natural, evergreen forest type, with the function of production forest.
The violation is specified in Clause 12, Article 20 of Decree No. 35/2019/ND-CP of the Government on sanctioning administrative violations in the field of forestry.
Mang Den Commune People's Committee decided to impose a fine of 37.5 million VND on Kon Tu Rang Village Community.
At the same time, forcing the community to replant the entire area of damaged forest until it becomes a forest according to regulations.
The time limit for implementing remedial measures is 1 year from the date of receiving the penalty decision.
