On June 8, Hoa Thang Commune Police (Lam Dong province) said that they had coordinated with Bac Binh Forest Protection Department to receive a pig-tailed macaque individual voluntarily handed over by Mr. Nguyen Minh Khue, a worker at Solar Power Plant 1A, Hong Trung village, Hoa Thang commune.
Previously, during working at the factory, Mr. Khue discovered a monkey individual in the working area. Realizing that this was a wild animal that needed to be protected, he proactively contacted functional agencies to hand it over.
Upon receiving information, Hoa Thang Commune Police coordinated with Bac Binh Forest Protection Department to make a record, receive the monkey individual and complete the procedures according to regulations.

After a period of care, monitoring and assessing the health status, functional forces have re-released the pig-tailed macaque to its natural environment at the Le Hong Phong Protection Forest Management Board.
According to functional agencies, pig-tailed macaques are wild animals belonging to the group of endangered, precious, and rare forest animals (group IIB), which are strictly managed and protected according to the provisions of law.
The voluntary handover of wild animals by people to functional agencies contributes to biodiversity conservation and protection of rare animal gene sources in nature. Mr. Nguyen Minh Khue's action also shows a sense of law compliance and a sense of responsibility in the work of protecting natural resources.
