On January 21, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa - Chairman of the People's Committee of Le Thuy district (Quang Binh province) said that the site clearance work for the North-South expressway through the locality has been completed.
Mr. Hoa informed that the land acquisition for the North-South expressway through Quang Binh has mobilized the entire political system to participate fiercely, with the highest determination to achieve the Prime Minister's goal.
Each member of the Land Acquisition Council works with a high sense of responsibility, positivity and seriousness. The policies and regulations on land acquisition are strictly applied, in accordance with regulations, ensuring the full legitimate rights of the people, thereby receiving high consensus from the people.
For households that have not received compensation, the District People's Committee will strengthen propaganda and mobilization work, fully, clearly and accurately explain policies and regimes so that people can understand.
The district identifies this as an extremely important political task, so the motto is “only discuss, do not retreat”. The district People's Committee does not compromise with unreasonable and unfounded requests.
In cases of deliberate non-cooperation, the district will resolutely apply administrative measures in accordance with legal regulations.
The Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board (Ministry of Transport), the construction unit of the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway, said it has received the handover of the last meters of land in Le Thuy district to put into construction.
Mr. Chu Van Long - Deputy Head of Project Management Department 4, Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board said that after receiving the site, the construction unit will remove organic soil, houses, house foundations, etc., then fill the soil, make the foundation and carry out the next steps.
Mr. Long informed that the construction progress of the Management Board through Quang Binh province is likely to be on schedule as assigned by the Prime Minister.
The North-South Expressway project through Quang Binh province is 126.43 km long, passing through 6 districts, towns, cities and 35 communes and wards with 3,772 affected households. Of these, 551 households are subject to resettlement.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper had many articles related to the fact that the land for the North-South Expressway through Quang Binh province had not been handed over. This caused difficulties for the construction unit in the progress implementation process.
