Present at the construction site of the North-South Expressway Expansion Project in the East, Cao Bo - Mai Son section and the Ninh Binh - Hai Phong Expressway Construction Investment Project, the section passing through Ninh Binh province, on April 30 and May 1, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, hundreds of workers, engineers and machinery are working hard to speed up the project completion progress.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuong - Team Leader of Line 2 (under the North - South Expressway Expansion Project in the East, Cao Bo - Mai Son section) said that during the 5 days of the holiday, the team mobilized a maximum of 100% of workers, engineers, machinery, and transport vehicles to operate continuously regardless of day or night.
"All workers and engineers on the route unanimously supported the construction through the ceremony to complete the project soon" - Mr. Tuong said.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh - Deputy Director of Ninh Binh Department of Construction (investor of the project expansion of the North - South Expressway Road in the east of Bo Bo - Mai Son section) said: In order to shorten the completion time in the first half of 2026, we deploy construction through holidays, increase 3 shifts, 4 crews with the most drastic spirit and ensure continuous construction, without interruption.
"The traffic volume participating on the roads is very large on holidays, so we have directed the construction contractor to have a plan to gather materials available at the storage yards so that it will not be affected by the density of vehicles increasing during holidays, ensuring smooth supply of materials for the project" - Mr. Minh said.
At the Ninh Binh - Hai Phong highway project, the section passing Ninh Binh province as noted by PV, the construction atmosphere on the construction site is quite bustling. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Xuan Truong Construction Business Technical Officer, said, "We are very unanimous, supporting the construction of the project during the holidays to speed up the progress because this is a very important transport project with inter -provincial and inter -regional connectivity".
Talking to PV Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Vu Van Ha - Head of Construction Management Department of Ninh Binh Transport Project Management Board (Investor of Ninh Binh - Hai Phong Expressway Project, section passing Ninh Binh province) said that it is directing contractors to focus on construction of 3 holidays at the same time to ensure progress.
"On the route, the contractor is focusing on nearly 200 construction machines and materials transport vehicles for 3 shifts, 4 teams without days off to strive to complete the project soon. Workers and engineers here take a day off at the construction site to save maximum construction time" - Mr. Ha shared.
The project of expanding the North -South highway road in the east of Bo Bo - Mai Son has the total length of the whole route is 15,245km, the expansion investment scale from 4 lanes as currently to 6 complete lanes, the road width is 32.5m; The road surface is 22.5m wide; to build additional units on the left of the route at 4 locations (Cao Bo Bridge, Cam Cam Bridge, overpass of NH10 and Quan Vinh Bridge); Smart transportation system (ITS); vehicle load control system; The toll station is built synchronously according to the standards of the highway. The project is invested by the Department of Transport of Ninh Binh Province (now the Department of Construction). The project is expected to be completed in 2026.
Investment project to build Ninh Binh - Hai Phong Expressway route, the section through Ninh Binh province has a length of 25.3km, 4 complete lanes, design speed of 120km/h. The project is invested by the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects of Ninh Binh Province. The total investment is 6,865 billion dong, including the central budget and the budget of Ninh Binh province. As planned, the project will be completed and put into operation in 2026.
