On February 14, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nang Mai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tay Tuu ward (Hanoi) and leaders of a number of departments and agencies involved inspected the implementation of the project to urgently handle landslides at locations K3+050 and K3+310 on the right bank of the Pheo River in Tay Tuu ward.
At the scene, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nang Mai requested the Tay Tuu Ward Infrastructure Investment Project Management Board and the contractor to pay attention to and care for the lives and working conditions of officials, engineers, and workers, especially during the Lunar New Year.

Emphasizing that the project to urgently handle landslides on the right bank of the Pheo River is an urgent project that may affect the safety of people's lives and property, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nang Mai requested units to seriously ensure sufficient personnel, materials, and equipment, maintain direct command and organize continuous construction, without interruption even during the Lunar New Year holiday, determined to complete on schedule, with absolute quality and safety.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nang Mai also requested the Ward Infrastructure Investment Project Management Board to inspect all projects being implemented, review and supplement the system of barriers, signs, warning lights, and be on duty daily to ensure absolute safety for people and vehicles during Tet.
In January 2026, Hanoi City People's Committee issued Decision No. 89/QD-UBND announcing an emergency landslide situation at locations K3+050 and K3+310 on the right bank of the Pheo River in Tay Tuu ward and issued an order to build an emergency project to prevent it.
After storm No. 10 in November 2025, the water level of the Pheo River rose, causing flooding on both banks and surrounding residential areas, when the water receded, landslides appeared on the right bank of the Pheo River through the area of Phuc Ly 2 residential group at locations K3+050, K3+310.
The City People's Committee issued an order to urgently build embankments to reinforce against landslides at locations K3+050, K3+310 to prevent landslides on the right bank of the Pheo River, ensuring safety for works, lives, and property of people in the area.
Regarding construction and reinforcement measures to prevent landslides at positions K3+050, K3+310 on the right bank of the Pheo River in Tay Tuu ward with a length of about 100m, including: Roof embankment, hardening of the riverbank surface; completion time before June 30, 2026.
