On January 1st, a delegation of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee led by Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - came to inspect and urge the construction during the New Year holiday of 2026 at the Tran Phu Road Upgrade Project, Bac Lieu city (old) now Bac Lieu ward, Ca Mau province.

According to the investor - Bac Lieu Regional Project Management Board, Tran Phu road is about 1,600m long. This is an important urban traffic route, playing a role in connecting activities and travel of people inside and outside the province to the central area of Bac Lieu city, which is now the center of Bac Lieu ward.

The construction package was started on September 20, 2025, with a construction time of 240 days, expected to be completed on May 20, 2026.
To date, the construction volume has reached about 30%. Specifically, the dredging of sewers and manholes from the beginning of the route to the Bac Lieu - Ca Mau river mouth has been completed; the 1st-layer hot asphalt concrete pavement section from the beginning of the route to the Tran Huynh intersection, with a length of about 750m, equivalent to nearly half of the road length.

Mr. Le Viet Xo - Chairman of Bac Lieu Ward People's Committee - said that in the process of project implementation, the local government always closely coordinates with the investor to regularly inspect the site, coordinate with supervision consultants and construction units to ensure quality, technique and traffic safety during implementation.
Mr. Do Van Duc, construction site commander (from Ninh Binh) expressed that today is Tet holiday, but being visited and given support gifts by provincial leaders, the brothers are very excited and happy, considering it a positive source of encouragement to feel secure in putting aside personal feelings, focusing on accelerating the construction progress, serving the travel needs of local people. At the same time, the contractor also proactively encourages, takes care of life, sends gifts to visit families in their hometowns so that the workers who are constructing can rest in peace and stick to the construction site.

At the inspection, Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet requested the investor, contractors, and construction workers with the spirit of "overcoming sun and rain" with effective remedial solutions, such as: working overtime, dividing shifts, arranging construction teams and teams to achieve progress according to each stage while ensuring safety and general hygiene for people on both sides of the road.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee encouraged engineers and workers to make every effort to contribute to completing the project with civil significance and local socio-economic development.
He requested the investor and contractor to mobilize maximum manpower and construction machinery, and by January 20, asphalt paving must be completed to serve people traveling to welcome the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year. At the same time, he requested functional sectors and localities to continue to urgently complete site clearance work; propagate and mobilize people to understand the importance of projects; listen to people's aspirations to have solutions, especially support from resettlement to creating jobs and livelihoods for people affected by the project.

The working delegation presented many gifts to encourage engineers and workers constructing throughout Tet, making every effort, overcoming all circumstances to work with the locality to complete the key project of the province.
