On the afternoon of December 31st, Ca Mau province summarized the site clearance work of key projects and works in 2025; the peak emulation movement to complete site clearance work for the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway project and key projects in the area.
At the summary meeting, Mr. Tang Vu Em - Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Land Fund Development Center - said that in just 2 weeks, nearly 1,600 billion VND was paid to affected households, which is a miracle.
Mr. Vu Em said that to achieve this result, the Board has arranged local banks, disbursed cash immediately to the people, so in a short time, nearly 1,600 billion VND has been spent. This is valuable experience for the project to be implemented.
In the process of implementation, the investor proactively coordinates with departments and branches, and issues beyond authority are immediately consulted. This is a project that is of concern to leaders, with priority mechanisms to resolve, and difficulties and obstacles are resolved within the day.
The launch of the emulation movement has made a great contribution to accelerating the progress of the project. Leaders of communes with projects passed through directing drastically and effectively, especially the heads of Party committees and authorities.
Mr. Nguyen Van Van (Ho Thi Ky commune), whose land is affected by the project, said: "Giving land to the state to build the expressway is very happy, I feel there is a small contribution to contributing to the development of the country's transport infrastructure.
The project to recover land, compensate, support, and resettle the above-mentioned works with a total investment of 2,028 billion VND, using state budget capital (including central budget support of 50% and provincial budget of 50%), site clearance area of about 713.09ha. Up to now, compensation and support plans have been approved with a total of 1,646 households and 5 affected organizations, through 10 communes, total amount of 1,532.9 billion VND, area of 662.78 ha. 1,554.58 billion VND has been disbursed, reaching 100% of the approved plan. Achieving 97.16% of the 2025 capital plan and 2026 budget advances (total of 1,600 billion VND).
Speaking at the conference, Secretary of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai thanked the enthusiasm and support of people with projects passing by.
The Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee also noted that the compensation and resettlement support project for the above-mentioned works needs to draw lessons for site clearance work. Quick implementation (only 3 months), effectiveness meets people's trust. Therefore, it is necessary to promote it to implement projects later in Ca Mau province.
