Dak Lak - Functional forces have discovered 2 people positive for drugs, and temporarily seized many suspected weapons.

On June 24, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Dak Lak Provincial Police said that during patrols and inspections, functional forces discovered 2 people showing signs of suspected drug use.

At the same time, functional agencies temporarily seized a number of items suspected of being rudimentary weapons to serve the verification and handling according to regulations.

Accordingly, at about 9:20 am on June 20, at Km22+150, DT698 road, passing through Quynh Tan 1 village, Krong Ana commune, Dak Lak province, the Krong Ana traffic police team organized speed control according to plan.

Through inspection, functional forces discovered a car traveling at a speed of 70 km/h, while this road section stipulates a maximum speed limit of 50 km/h.

During the working process, recognizing that the vehicle driver and a companion had suspicious signs related to drug use, the Traffic Police Team coordinated to take these individuals to a medical facility for examination.

Rapid test results showed that both people were positive for Methamphetamine.

Continuing to inspect the vehicle and related items, functional forces discovered in the rear trunk area of the car a nylon bag containing a white crystalline solid suspected to be drugs; a butterfly-shaped switchblade; a large metal sword and a rubber umbrella with a handle and elastic band.

All suspected related exhibits were temporarily seized by functional forces to serve the verification and handling according to the provisions of law.

The Traffic Police Team made a record for the act of violating traffic order and safety. At the same time, they handed over people, vehicles, records and all related exhibits to Krong Ana Commune Police for further investigation, verification and handling according to their authority.
