On the morning of September 5, the opening ceremony of the 2025 - 2026 school year was held live and online simultaneously across the country. In Hanoi, the traffic volume has increased on the routes, especially in areas with many schools.
In order to ensure traffic safety and make it most convenient for parents and students to go to school to attend the opening ceremony, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Hanoi City Police has directed local traffic police teams to increase forces and direct traffic early and from afar.
Recorded at Nga Tu So area, from 6am, the working group of Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 in coordination with the Ward Police was present to regulate traffic.
The density of vehicles passing through the intersection is very high, however, thanks to the timely arrangement of traffic flow forces, the traffic flow is smooth, without congestion.
"It is predicted that before and after the opening ceremony, the density of vehicles on the inner city routes will be very high, we will be on duty, ready to handle situations that arise on the road.
In addition, it is recommended that traffic participants who encounter traffic congestion must strictly follow the order of the traffic commander to make travel smooth and safe," said Captain Nguyen Gia Long - Officer of Road Traffic Police Team No. 3.
At Khuong Dinh Secondary School (Khuong Ha Street, Khuong Dinh Ward), the working group of Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 was also present early to focus on traffic flow, instructing parents and students to ensure smooth traffic safety.
At the same time, the working group combined direct propaganda in the form of distributing leaflets at school gates to disseminate laws on traffic safety and order to parents and students. Thereby, it aims to raise awareness of parents and students throughout the school year.
Taking his children to the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Xuan Nhat (residing in Khuong Dinh ward) said that although the area has many schools and many students and parents coming at the same time, the authorities have ensured smooth traffic and strict security and order.
"Our parents are very assured when taking their children to school," said Mr. Nhat.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Viet Anh - an officer of Road Traffic Police Team No. 7, in the coming time, the unit will focus on propaganda work, especially direct propaganda at schools in the area.
"The purpose of the propaganda sessions is to build traffic culture. From the analysis of the causes and consequences of traffic accidents for each individual, family and society, students at all levels are more aware of preventing accidents," Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Viet Anh shared.
At Trung Vuong Secondary School, Viet Duc High School, Tran Phu, Chu Van An..., officers and soldiers of Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 coordinated with the Ward Police to organize regulation, traffic flow, and guide parents and students to move safely.
At the same time, the working group promptly reminded and handled cases of illegal stopping, ensuring stable traffic.
In addition to traffic diversion and propaganda, some cases of students or parents taking their children to school to attend the opening ceremony intentionally violating traffic laws have also been handled.
Parents taking their children to school in traffic violation will make children copy, causing unpredictable consequences. The Traffic Police will strictly handle the above situation to rectify, educate and set an example for students.
