According to the Ministry of Public Security, recently, the situation of students violating traffic safety laws has become more complicated, causing many serious traffic accidents.

At the same time, to continue to seriously and effectively implement the Prime Minister's Directive on strengthening the work of ensuring traffic order and safety for school-age children in the new situation, the direction of the Ministry of Public Security's leaders, the Traffic Police Department issued a peak plan to ensure traffic order and safety for school-age children.

According to the plan, the Traffic Police Department requires the national traffic police force to strengthen inspection and handling of violations of traffic safety and order for middle and high school students, parents, guardians, people who give vehicles to students who are not qualified to drive, vehicle owners and parents who transport students who violate regulations on road, inland waterway, and railway transport.

Inspections and handling of violations are carried out thoroughly and maintained regularly and continuously, creating positive changes in awareness and compliance with traffic safety laws of parents and students, ensuring strict adherence to the law and minimizing traffic accidents involving students.

In the road sector, the traffic police force will patrol and control main traffic routes in urban areas, inter-village and inter-commune routes, district and provincial roads, national highways, areas near schools, and areas where many young people gather to violate traffic safety and order.

Focus on violations such as: Driving without a driver's license, not wearing a helmet, carrying more passengers than the prescribed number, not obeying traffic lights, driving in a row...; cases of students and parents stopping or parking illegally on the road, on the sidewalk, at crossroads causing traffic jams, potentially causing traffic accidents.

In the railway sector, patrol and control at railway intersections with roads, school areas near railways, and entertainment venues near railways.

Focus on handling violations, such as: Violating regulations on railway traffic safety corridors, not obeying traffic signals at level crossings with warning lights installed...

In the field of inland waterways, patrolling and controlling port areas, wharves, waterways that regularly transport students to school...
