On the afternoon of June 13, Mr. Vo Van Huong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Trieu Thuan Commune, Trieu Phong District confirmed that an electrocution accident had just occurred in the area, killing one person.
The victim was Mr. Ho Van Kinh (71 years old, residing in Duong Van Loc village, Trieu Thuan commune). According to initial information, at around 12:15 on the same day, Mr. Kinh walked from his house to his son's house nearby to help cope with floods.
While traveling on the inter-village concrete road, he was unfortunately caught a broken power line falling onto the road, resulting in him being electrocuted and dying on the spot.
Immediately after the incident, local authorities and authorities were present at the scene to handle and support the victim's family in arranging a funeral.
Mr. Vo Van Huong said that the commune government has advised people to be extremely careful when traveling in flooded conditions, especially in areas at risk of landslides and broken power lines. At the same time, people are advised to proactively check and reinforce the household electrical system to prevent similar tragic accidents.
