On April 2nd, the People's Committee of Sa Thay commune, Quang Ngai province, said that after functional forces and local people made efforts to search, Mr. Tran Quang (73 years old), who had been missing for many days, was found in the mountainous forest area near Bar Goc village.
According to information from the family, at about 6:30 am on March 31, Mr. Quang left his house on Vo Nguyen Giap street (Dak Cam ward, Quang Ngai province) to take his grandchild to Dak Cam Elementary School. However, after that, he did not return and lost contact.
The family organized a search and reported it to the authorities but without results. Relatives said that he was old and his memory was impaired, so he was very worried.
On April 1, through camera footage, people discovered Mr. Quang driving a motorbike in the direction of Sa Thay commune. On the same evening, his motorbike was found at a trail, about 1 km from the residential area of Bar Goc village (Sa Son commune, Sa Thay district, Kon Tum province before). This area is hilly, with production forests interspersed with natural forests.
On the same night, functional forces and people organized searches within a radius of about 1 km around the location where the car was discovered, but by the morning of April 2, there was still no trace. The family is worried that after two days of disappearance, in the context of old age, weak health, lack of food and drinking water, he may be exhausted.
On the morning of April 2nd, search work continued to be deployed. At about 12 noon on the same day, Mr. Quang was found about 1 km from the motorbike parking location and about 2 km from Bar Gốc village. When discovered, he was in a state of fatigue and weakness.
People quickly gave him water, milk and helped take him home for care and health recovery. The cause of the incident is being clarified.
