Belief from the "high and shiny trees
As one of the earliest voters present, Ms. Nguyen Thi Chuong (85 years old, residing in An Khanh ward) could not hide her emotion when holding the ballot of the 16th National Assembly election and People's Council delegates at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. Sharing with reporters, Ms. Chuong said that this is the 14th time she has exercised her citizenship rights. Although the country has changed a lot in each period, for her, the sacred feeling of personally choosing a representative is still as intact as the first day.

She expressed her excitement about the modern and thoughtful organization of the locality and placed her full trust in the development of the city after expanding its scale. She also expressed her wish that elected delegates will always be close to people's lives, especially paying attention to social security policies for the elderly and children.
Witnessing young people excitedly going to vote, Ms. Chuong emotionally shared: "This year I am 85 years old, my health is no longer the same as before, but I still ask my children and grandchildren to take me to the place to witness firsthand the festival of the country and send my faith to those who represent the future of the country".

Also this morning, at election team No. 30, Thu Duc ward, Mr. Dang Chuong (100 years old) was present from 6:30 am to exercise his rights. Although he is old, he is still very lucid, personally reading the names of each candidate to choose. Mr. Chuong expects: "There is only one vote in 5 years, I must definitely go to find talented people to serve the people and the country".
The imprint of young voters and technological breakthroughs
Besides the veterans, this year's election day marked a strong impression of young people who voted for the first time. In An Khanh ward, Nguyen Thi Minh Thu (19 years old) excitedly woke up early to experience the free Metro Line No. 1 to the polling station. Minh Thu hopes that elected delegates will have more practical policies on startups and cultural spaces dedicated to young people.

Speaking about the meaning of holding the ballot for the first time, Minh Thu confided: "This first ballot in my life is an affirmation that the voice of young people like us is truly contributing to the overall development of the country".

As the locality with the largest number of voters, Ho Chi Minh City has promoted the application of digital data through voter management software directly connected to the National Population Database. This helps to review the list quickly and accurately. People can also easily check voter cards and polling areas through the VNeID electronic identification application.
In particular, to create the most favorable conditions for people to travel, Ho Chi Minh City has implemented a policy of free bus tickets (on 109 routes) and Metro Line No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) throughout March 15.

Previously, on the morning of February 26, Ho Chi Minh City also successfully organized early voting in four areas of Tam Thang, Phuoc Thang wards and Long Son commune with more than 4,000 voters participating, ensuring the right to vote for forces performing special tasks.
