On September 9, at the Vietnam - Soviet Friendship Labor Culture Palace (Hanoi), the opening ceremony of the International Exhibition on Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue (PCCC&CNCH) techniques and equipment in 2026 took place.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Major General Duong Duc Hai - Director of the Fire and Rescue Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) - said that the exhibition takes place from September 9 to 12, with a scale of 500 booths of 350 domestic and international businesses and organizations, from 480 brands of 16 countries and territories.
This year's event has the participation of 13 international delegations from Japan, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong (China), the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Austria and the United States.

According to Major General Duong Duc Hai, the exhibition is organized at a time when the entire Fire and Rescue Police force and people are looking towards celebrating the 65th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Fire and Rescue Police force (October 4, 1961 - October 4, 2026) and the 25th Anniversary of the National Fire and Rescue Day (October 4, 2001 - October 4, 2026).
This is not only an opportunity to review the development path of the force but also raises the requirement to innovate fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue work in the new period.
Many new fire and explosion risks appear
Major General Duong Duc Hai said that in the face of urbanization and industrialization, the strong development of technology and new energy sources, PCCC&CNCH work needs to strongly shift to risk management based on data, strengthen early warnings and gradually master technology.
According to the Director of the Fire and Rescue Police Department, the entire force is currently synchronously implementing the Fire and Rescue Law, Decree No. 105/2025/ND-CP and Resolution No. 66.18/2026/NQ-CP of the Government.
In that context, the exhibition is expected to contribute to concretizing policies and guidelines, while promoting science and technology, innovation, digital transformation and developing the security industry in the field of PCCC&CNCH.
Reality shows that this requirement is increasingly urgent. In 2025 and the first 8 months of 2026, the whole country recorded 5,307 fires and explosions, killing 164 people, injuring 208 people, and causing property damage of more than 1,400 billion VND.
The Fire and Rescue Police force organized 2,378 rescue trips, thereby rescuing 4,065 people.
Notably, besides traditional fire and explosion risks, many new risks are emerging from lithium-ion batteries, energy storage systems, high-rise buildings and underground works. These issues require technical solutions, means and PCCC&CNCH technology to be researched and invested in proportionally.
Connecting technology, developing fire prevention and fighting industry
Through many editions, the exhibition has expanded in scale, content and influence, becoming a specialized forum connecting management agencies, research institutions, scientists and the domestic and international business community.
At this year's exhibition, manufacturers and suppliers of PCCC&CNCH equipment introduce many new technologies, vehicles and solutions. This is also an opportunity for the Fire and Rescue Police force to introduce their capabilities, traditions, and at the same time seek directions for cooperation, technology transfer and product development in the country.
In addition to display activities, the exhibition has many in-depth programs. In which, the international seminar on PCCC&CNCH industry development has nearly 60 papers by domestic and international scientists and experts.
On September 10, the dialogue forum with businesses and business associations on PCCC&CNCH is expected to have more than 170 units and businesses participating.

Throughout the exhibition, the organizers also deploy propaganda, experience and practice skills in escape, first aid, fire fighting, and rescue for people, students, and pupils.
Major General Duong Duc Hai said that the important thing that the exhibition aims for is not only to introduce new products and technologies, but also to form a connection platform between state management, scientific research, production - business and practical application.
Through this, the parties have more opportunities to cooperate, transfer technology, promote domestic research and production, contributing to completing standards and technical regulations and improving fire prevention and fighting and rescue capacity.

In particular, the international seminar is expected to create a forum for scientists, experts and businesses to jointly propose solutions to develop Vietnam's PCCC&CNCH industry, aiming to make this field an important industry in the national security industry, capable of reaching out to the region and the world.
Investing in fire prevention and fighting and rescue industry today is investing in safety, peace and sustainable development of the country tomorrow," Major General Duong Duc Hai emphasized.
