Quang Tri - While taking a buffalo across a stream with his mother, Truong Thanh D was swept away by floodwaters and went missing, the authorities are urgently searching for him.

On the afternoon of September 28, the authorities of Kim Phu commune (Quang Tri province) are mobilizing forces to search for Truong Thanh D (16 years old, residing in Yen Tho village 2), who was swept away by floodwaters while he and his mother were carrying buffaloes to avoid the flood.

According to initial information, the incident occurred at around 11:15 a.m. the same day at Mu Di stream (Yen Tho 2 village, Kim Phu commune). D and his mother took the buffalo to the highlands to take shelter from the flood. While passing through the stream, the floodwaters suddenly rose high and flowed rapidly, causing him to be swept away. The mother was lucky to escape.

Immediately after receiving the report, the local authorities coordinated with the police, militia and people to deploy search forces. However, due to the impact of storm No. 10, the area where the accident occurred was experiencing heavy rain and floodwater pouring in from upstream, making the search difficult.

As of 3:00 p.m. the same day, the victim had not yet been found. Local authorities continue to maintain search and closely monitor weather developments to ensure the safety of rescue forces.
