Faced with the complicated developments of property robbery crimes, especially the reckless robberies that have occurred in some localities recently, on the afternoon of January 30, An Giang Provincial Police coordinated with the State Bank of Vietnam Region XV to organize a propaganda and guidance session on skills to prevent property robbery crimes at banks and credit institutions in the province (Rach Gia area).
Attending the propaganda session were Senior Lieutenant Colonel Danh Ngoc Thu, Head of the Economic Security Department; Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Sang, Deputy Head of the Criminal Technical Department of the Provincial Police; Mr. Ho Canh Liem, Deputy Director of State Bank of Vietnam Region XV, along with representatives of more than 50 banks, credit institutions and transaction offices in the area.
At the program, leaders of the Economic Security Department and the Criminal Technical Department informed about the situation of property robbery crimes related to banking operations. At the same time, they analyzed the tricks and reckless operating methods of the subjects through a number of typical cases occurring in other provinces, thereby drawing lessons learned in prevention work.
In addition, the Police force guided skills in identifying suspects; defense skills, activating alarm systems, reporting and handling situations when bank robberies occur, especially at transaction offices. Delegates also exchanged views on the deployment of measures and technical means to prevent and combat crime; pointed out some shortcomings and limitations and guided the effective use of equipment to ensure security and safety.
Through the propaganda session, bank officials and employees were raised in awareness, increased vigilance and situation handling skills, proactively prevented early and remotely; contributing to improving the effectiveness of preventing and combating property robbery crimes, ensuring security and safety of banking operations in the province.
