On September 29, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police of the Provincial Police had just rescued 6 people in a family trapped in a house at risk of collapsing due to strong floodwaters.


Previously, at around 3:30 p.m. on September 29, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Thanh Hoa Province Police received a report from a family of 6, including 2 children under 9 years old, in Triu village, Dien Lu commune, trapped in a house in the flood.
Immediately after receiving the information, the unit mobilized 8 officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Team of Area 10 to urgently approach the scene to rescue. Because the house is located between two streams, floodwaters are almost up to the roof, flowing rapidly, and there is a risk of erosion and collapse at any time, rescue work is facing many difficulties.
The authorities had to use ropes and life buoys, swimming in and out step by step to get people out. After nearly 2 hours of effort, the 6 victims were brought to safety.
