Rescuing 17 people in floods in Thien Hung commune, Dong Nai province

Dong Nai - The authorities promptly rescued 17 people in the flooded area in Thien Hung commune to a safe area.

On September 22, in Thien Hung commune, Dong Nai province (formerly Bu Dop district, Binh Phuoc province), a widespread heavy rain occurred.

The rain caused flooding, isolating a number of households in Thien Hung commune. Of which, 4 households with 17 people in Group 5, Hamlet 6, Thien Hung commune were surrounded and isolated by floodwaters.

In particular, the case of Mrs. Ho Thi Bach Tuyet (born in 1950) and her son both had a stroke and could not walk.

Upon receiving the report, officers and soldiers of the Provincial Defense Command of Region 3 - Dong Xoai, Dong Nai Provincial Military Command in coordination with the Military Command of Thien Hung Commune and other units quickly deployed forces to approach the scene and urgently evacuate people to safety.

By noon on September 22, all 17 people, including Ms. Ho Thi Bach Tuyet's family, had been rescued safely. Commune officers and soldiers directly carried and took people to safe shelters.

Currently, the Thien Hung Commune Military Command continues to maintain its on-duty forces, coordinate with the locality to ensure the safety of people's lives and property, and be ready to respond to complicated flood developments.
