At the age of 20, Lieutenant Colonel, Doctor Nguyen Thi Thanh (born in 1955) - former Deputy Head of the Department of Traditional Medicine Hospital of the Ministry of Public Security - was honored to participate in the parade of the Women's Police at Ba Dinh Square in 1975. Now, after 50 years, she is honored to be in the parade of the former People's Public Security at Ba Dinh Square during the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (A80 mission).
It is a great honor, and at the same time, a source of pride because at the age of 70, I am still healthy enough to be present in the parade in the historic square - Ms. Thanh shared.
According to Ms. Thanh, at this age, health cannot be as abundant as in youth. In addition, her family still has many difficulties as her mother is old and her husband is often sick. However, when she was chosen to participate, she tried to arrange everything at all costs to be present.
Fortunately, those who participated in the parade in the past have an "old part", so even after 50 years of maintaining their style, even if the music has changed, it can still go smoothly. The biggest difficulty is the hot weather. Thanks to her medical expertise, she knows how to take care of herself to ensure she can complete her mission and bring glory to the police force.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quang Thai - former People's Public Security - shared that he felt honored to participate in the parade and march in the former Vietnam People's Public Security.
During the training, he said that he could not avoid difficulties due to hot weather and old age. However, with a sense of responsibility, he and his teammates were determined to overcome it to complete the tasks assigned by the leaders.
Mr. Tran Quang Thai said that he participated in the revolution from 1969, going through the years of fighting until the Liberation of the South, then retired. To be able to participate in the parade again in this important event is a great honor for him.
