On the afternoon of November 30, Trieu Van Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard) confirmed that the unit had just coordinated with the Trieu Van Commune Police and Trieu Van Commune Militia to rescue fishermen and a boat in trouble at sea.
Previously, at around 11am the same day, Mr. Le Huu Chuc's boat (residing in village 7, Trieu Van commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province) was fishing in the sea near the shore of village 9 (Trieu Van commune), when it was hit by waves, causing the boat to sink, with only part of it floating.
At the time of the accident, there were 3 fishermen on the boat, 2 of whom swam safely to shore, 1 fisherman clung to the boat and was pushed away from shore by the waves.
About 30 officers and soldiers of the Border Guard, Police, and Militia of Trieu Van commune coordinated the rescue by tying ropes and then swimming out to rescue.
Once the rope was tied to the boat and the fishermen were reached, the forces on shore pulled both the boat and the fishermen to shore. After about 1 hour of rescue, the fishermen and the boat were successfully brought ashore.
